Finger 11 - Paralyzer PDF Print E-mail

I'm not going to say very much more than "This song rocks!"

I mean really, it's a great song with a great beat. You just can't ask for more. Listen and enjoy!

Finger Eleven had a pretty big hit a couple of years ago, but I just can't seem to remember what the name of that track was. I'm sure it will come to me eventually as I am sitting around. I have always liked a lot of their music. Have you ever played SSX Tricky on Playstation? If you haven't, I highly recommend it. F11 has a couple of tracks on the game's soundtrack (along with Lucy Lu and others doing character voices!) and everything about the game is simply outstanding. That game is what makes a PlayStation worth the money!

As a matter of fact, I think I'm going to go play SSX right now! Hit the link for the Paralyzer video.

Filo & Perry - Anthem PDF Print E-mail

Ok. Here's another song with a slightly sappy story behind it. Don't get me wrong, it's a great tune.

This is another one of those songs like Apologize that helps get me through some rough spots. This is an anthem for all the stuff that's gone wrong. Now that it's behind you, you can really appreciate it and learn from it.

Maybe I'm just a nerd and read far too much into things.

And maybe I really don't understand the video for this song, but you can see it after the jump... (and maybe you can tell me why all the guys in this video are checking him out?)

Who doesn't love a hot front-man with a great voice? I know some of you might not like Adam Levine, but I personally think he's hot. And since this is my website, if you don't like it, you can leave now. Thanks!

As soon as I heard this song, I knew it was going to be the next single off their album, after Makes Me Wonder. Just listening to this for the first time, I was hooked. Of course, once it gets some radio play, they have to play it every other song for a while. I think that's why I've stopped listening to the radio, but I think I cam make myself watch the video (after the jump) a FEW more times.

Let's go for something a little more upbeat, shall we?

What can I say about this track? It's just a great song. It's not quite the club-kid-techno-banging that you might expect from PvD, but it's a great track that wouldn't feel out of place on the radio dial. I wonder why it is that radio stations don't play stuff like this. Great beat, great vocals, and an awesome hook.

If you want a great workout track, drop this one into the rotation. Check out the video after the jump...

Ok... Last slow and depressing song. I promise.

I know they played this song on the radio 50 times a day in its prime, but I liked it before then. :-p

I think this one has a little bit of a "special" place for me.

I think this is the one that really broke me out of my "funk". I remember sitting in my room, looking out the window on a dreary, gray day. It was shortly after I royally farked things up with Kyle and I started to wonder why I did what I did. I felt like I needed to apologize and then let go of the crap I was dealing with. Over the course of then next few months, I slowly got my act together and rid myself of "Old John". My closer friends know what I'm talking about, so I'll just leave it at that.

Enjoy! (Vids below the fold, of course)

Yup. Another slow and depressing song. Consider these warm-ups for some more energetic songs on down the road. I promise. They're coming.

Here's another great song to stretch to. Again, don't listen too much to the lyrics. They are not very uplifting.

Looking for something a little down-tempo and relaxing? Check out Conjure One's Center of the Sun.

I love using this track while warming up for a work out or as a cool down. Either way, it's laid back and a great song to relax and stretch to. Take a listen and relax for just a bit.

I admit, it's a pretty depressing song if you actually listen to the words. Try not to listen too hard to the lyrics.
